Welcome to HOW CAN I KEEP FROM SINGING for July 2016

Again this year, we will welcome singers from across Canada and the Pacific Northwest to come together to create beautiful harmonies and spend time in  Alpine Nirvana—Kaslo, British Columbia.

This summer workshop begins Monday, July 18 and culminates with a choir performance on Saturday, July 23 with a goodbye celebration afterward… A great week of singing — and MORE singing with this year’s conductors: Karen Behn, Eva Bostrand, and visiting improvisation clinician, Tamara Sunsong. Bob Cosgrain will again join us as our accompanist.

The week also includes a beautiful cruise and barbecue on Kootenay Lake on day two, a sing-a-long evening of Beatles and other well known songs with our local Kaslo Singing Group on day three and individual lessons, small groups, and coaching sessions as arranged with the instructor. (one lesson is included in your package). Tamara Sunsong will also be available for one on one help with sight singing, vocal production, coaching, improv….

The “I Can’t Keep From Singing” workshop has even more than singing to offer. Kaslo and area offers a wealth of natural beauty and lots to do  – sit on the beach, go kayaking or try stand-up boarding. Get a group together and rent a boat. Walk and hike the trails around the village.

T   ake in some evening music at the Kaslo Hotel or Blue-Belle Bistro. Wander through the Japanese Internment Museum or the Historic Paddle Wheeler, “The Moyie”. Explore the lovely restaurants along the main street or head out to the Ainsworth Hot Springs. Don’t forget to browse the charming local stores for gifts for yourself, your home… or someone else important in your life.

Join us for an unforgettable week in the Kootenays this summer…. and keep on singing!
